Blonde on Blonde
"I'm not offended by all the dumb blonde jokes because I know I'm not dumb...I also know that I'm not blonde."
Blond hair, blue jeans, best thing I'd ever seen!
"It's great being a blonde - with such low expectations, it's easy to impress"
"If you can't change your surroundings, change your hair color."

She's an Artist
She's got everything she needs
She's an artist, she don't look back.
JONI MITCHELL: Musician, painter, poet.
She's got everything she needs,
She's an artist, she don't look back.
She can take the dark out of the nighttime
And paint the daytime black.
BINKI SHAPIRO: Musician.
You will start out standing
Proud to steal her anything she sees.
You will start out standing
Proud to steal her anything she sees.
But you will wind up peeking through her keyhole
Down upon your knees.
GARANCE DORE: Photographer.
She never stumbles,
She's got no place to fall.
She never stumbles,
She's got no place to fall.
She's nobody's child,
The Law can't touch her at all.
MICHELLE WILLIAMS: Actress.
She wears an Egyptian ring
That sparkles before she speaks.
She wears an Egyptian ring
That sparkles before she speaks.
She's a hypnotist collector,
You are a walking antique.
SOFIA COPPOLA: Director, Screenwriter.
Bow down to her on Sunday,
Salute her when her birthday comes.
Bow down to her on Sunday,
Salute her when her birthday comes.
For Halloween give her a trumpet
And for Christmas, buy her a drum.

The Future Is Now
Let's look to the year 3000 as a means to make some real waves on the fashion front. Transparent textures, artificial shapes and all things metallic remind us that when it comes to fashion, the best truly is yet to come.
SASHA FIERCE

MARGIELA'S MODERN MAGIC
Martin Margiela's Fall show had a slightly ominous feel, full of dark shadows, unexpected materials and mysterious silhouettes.
ALL-STEEL
Forget the traditional mani/pedi that will invariably chip after a few days. Minx offers a new, chemical-free approach to nail care that consists of a film, not polish, which is applied dry with heat. The result is a mirror finish that will wow even the most fashion-forward crowd.
SEE THROUGH...TO THE FUTURE
Acne blows us away with totally transparent leggings. These fancy pants will be sure to make many a head turn but pose one extremely important question: what on earth do you wear under them?
MOON SHOES

ROBOTIC REVELERS
Dancers party up a storm at The Selby/Colette party in skin-tight silver one pieces. It's wild, it's wacky, it works. Image courtesy of The Cobrasnake.

A Love Like This
Why couldn't it have lasted forever? Musette spotlights some of the past's most iconic couples.
"Je T'aime...moi non plus"
Serge Gainsbourg & Jane BirkinSwinging London's sweetheart met Paris' most notorious playboy on the set of the French film Slogan in 1968. The two were together for thirteen years. Jane and her self-professed 'mentor' Serge had one child together, the always lovely Charlotte.
"Joanne has always given me unconditional support...To me, that's love."
Paul Newman & Joanne Woodward
The last of Hollywood's golden couples met during the filming of The Long, Hot Summer in 1956. Leading ladies such as Elizabeth Taylor, Pier Angeli and Faye Dunaway couldn't begin to sway the dashing Newman from his wonderful wife. Newman passed away late last year surrounded by he and Joanne's children and grandchildren.
"Oh Yoko, my love will turn you on."
John Lennon & Yoko Ono
Theirs was a creative union never to be outdone. Yoko was a conceptual artist taking London by storm, and as a Beatle, John needs no introduction. Joined by a fierce desire for peace and free love, these two lovebirds helped shaped an era with their music, art and international 'bed in.' On the day following Lennon's murder in December of 1980, Ono released a statement that read, 'John loved and prayed for the human race. Please pray for him. Love, Yoko and Sean.'
"Please see for me that her hair hangs long/That's the way I remember her best"
Bob Dylan & Suze Rotolo
Bob Dylan was just twenty when he and Suze met. Rotolo was very much this up and comer's proud sidekick and the two spent four full years partying against the backdrop of Greenwich Village's folk music revival. Today, Ms. Rotolo lives only several blocks from the modest walk-up apartment in which she and Bobby D. once called home.
"I lived a few weeks when she loved me."
Humphrey Bogart & Lauren Bacall
Lauren was Bogie's baby in every way; it was what he renamed her and how he referred to her in conversation. Bacall was twenty when she wed Bogart, who was twenty-five years her senior. With a significant difference in age and two outrageously successful acting careers, the couple managed to maintain an enviable union until Humphrey's death in 1957. Bacall and Bogart had been married for twelve years.

Angels, Brides & Ballerinas
Fantasy, frills, and layer upon layer of love.
A little gasp backstage at Chanel.
Joined at the hip, with Rodarte.
Degas' eternally delicate ballerinas.
Lauren Davis makes the bridal history books in Nina Ricci.
A snow angel takes the stage, once again at Chanel.
Abbott Handerson Thayer's Angel, 1889.
Thanks for sitting pretty x Musette
