Musette Spotlights BEDRAGGLED BEAUTIES

Forget combs, a stylist, or qualms about looking disheveled-these five gorgeous girls can carry off an unkempt look better than Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love combined.

LOU DOILLON

Being the daughter of Jane Birkin means she was was born cool, but this French fox possesses an x-factor that girls the world over strive to achieve. With striking good looks reminiscent of her mother, Lou Doillon seems to make any look work.

ERIN WASSON
Donning looks that would otherwise force you to avert your eyes quickly, Wasson can beautify the scantiest of ensembles. This beach babe masters grunge like nobody else.

CORY KENNEDY

Self-made media trash or fashion's innovative ingenue? You be the judge, but whether Kennedy appears in a fur turban or nothing but a leotard, this youngin' is turning heads.

MARY-KATE OLSEN

She is an itty-bitty cutie pie and Musette just adores her. For turning tatty getups into something chic, unique, and hopelessly cool she is one of fashion's brightest stars.

KATE MOSS

Love her or hate her, there is no denying that Kate Moss is a universal fashion icon. Her hair is always windswept, clothes consistently worn in, and she has a penchant for men that are just as bedraggled as her.

I'll Be Seeing You

If you've got it flaunt it! And by 'got it' Musette means poor eye sight. Opt for conspicuous specs to show you are proud to be four-eyed.Embrace your inner nerd-rock a pair of glasses like you just aced that quiz on the dewey decimal system!Whether you are channeling your inner sophisticate, snob, or brainiac, Musette says, in terms of glasses-the bigger the better.Images from top: Kate Young guarantees a prime view of the catwalk; Yigal Azrouel proves that geek is chic-Fall '07 RTW; and Liya Kebede makes a spectacle at Givenchy- Fall '06 RTW.

Ten Things Musette Loves About Karen Elson

1.)Rare Beauty. Karen Elson's red locks and defined face, sans eyebrows, combines an old Hollywood glamour with an ultra-modern edge.
2.)
Mrs. Jack White. The marriage of Elson and White marked the union of the most bewitching face of our time and the coolest musician of our time. (The two were wed by a shaman in a canoe on the Amazon river...Awesome.)
3.)Songstress. Elson's singing skills have been highly acclaimed by the most discerning critics. Check out her work in super hip, politically aware cabaret group The Citizens Band. Talented and morally conscious? Now that's hot!
4.)Muse. Karen has served as muse for none other than Karl Lagerfeld and uber-fashion photographer Stephen Meisel. Doesn't get much more fashion than that.
5.)Shopping Openmindedness. When this leggy beaut isn't swiping her credit card at luxury stores she can be found scouring the racks at Urban Outfitters and her favourite vintage clothing shops.
6.)Making her Mark. Together with another Musette favourite, Chan Marshall aka Cat Power, Elson recorded a cover of Serge Gainsbourg's racy and controversial song, Je t'aime... moi non plus.
7.)Circle of Friends. The likes of Marc Jacobs and Zooey Deschanel consider Elson a close chum. Musette would like to as well.
8.)Brit It Girl. Elson can be spotted staying true to her roots by enjoying Sunday nights at New York City pubs downing a hearty helping of shepard's pie.
9.)Yummy Mummy. As mother to Scarlett and Henry, Karen continues to outshine the rest. She walked the runway for MJ while expecting, and stole the red carpet shortly after giving birth.
10.) Face of Fashion. Elson has been the face of Chanel, Burberry, Yves Saint Laurent, and Mulberry. Now that's one good reason to shop!

Musette Loves Robo-Style

It's the end of the world as we know it and robot's rule. In fact they have for quite some time-the iconic robot has starred in films, secured it's own dance, language, and style credibility. Prada featured appliqued robot motifs in their 2004 Spring collection, (below) while Karen Walker introduced adorable robot pendants last year. (above) Balenciaga sold out of their robot inspired leggings which reflected the fashion masses' support of our so, so modern, not-so-human friend. Prove that robots do have hearts by morphing into one, courtesy of American Apparel's metallic leggings.PS: Robot fans beware, Hollywood stud Tobey Maguire is said to be starring in a remake of 1985's obscure television series, ROBOTECH!!! x Musette

Musette Says: "LET'S TIE ONE ON!"

They have been around for as far back as we can remember. As little girls we tied ribbons in our hair and learned to tie our shoe laces like bunny ears. So, why not continue the love affair with the bow by embellishing yourself with these precious symbols of girliness. Be coy, be cunning, be a flirt-flaunt a bow like the blue winner ribbon that you are.
